Ever come across a product that seems so futuristic, you swear you saw it on The Jetson's? Well, check this out.
I found it on Yanko Design, which is a "web magazine dedicated to introducing the best modern international design". Designed by Je Sung Park & Woo Jung Kwon, the Air Umbrella is an umbrella with no canopy. The only barrier between you and the rain is a sheet of steady air that is blown out of a hollow pipe. It's hard for me to totally comprehend but I guess the air just blows the raindrops away from the person holding it (physics is a foreign language for me). Weird, right? I'm curious to see if it actually works. It seems plausible that the air would keep the rain away from the person holding the umbrella, but wouldn't it also spray the rain in the direction of anyone passing or walking with you? Could be a total disaster.
Either way, I kinda wish I saw this before Christmas....
