I have a love hate relationship with these guys.
Obviously, I LOVE them when its cocktail time, however once the party's over, it's a different story. When it's time to clean, I begin to loathe the wine glass. It is absurd how many wine glasses I've broken throughout my drinking years - and I'm not even counting those poor suckers that bit the dust while in use. I consider it a small miracle if my wine glasses make it through this alive.
Well, my prayers have finally been answered. It's Tether to the rescue!
Tether is a 'flexible plastic rod that stabilizes your stemware as it goes through the dishwashing cycle'. Its hollow base slides over the dishwasher post while the end clasp clips onto the wine glass stem. It can be adjusted to fit the glass on either the top or bottom rack of your dishwasher.
How great is that? My wine glass woes are over!
Speaking of cleaning, another household chore that I absolutely despise partaking in, is sweeping.
Call me crazy, but I find it extremely challenging to hold the dustpan with one hand and sweep all the crap into it with the other. It feels very unnatural and I can never get it all in the pan. Brooms are supposed to be held with two hands, right? In addition to this gripe, I also can't stand how the bristles get clogged up with chunks of dust, lint and God knows what else, mid-sweep. And of course, the only way to remove all that stuff, is to physically pick it out with your hand. Very sanitary. I should have just nixed the broom and used my hands to sweep up the mess in the first place.
However, it looks like those days are over, thanks to the Broom Groomer.
The Broom Groomer is a step-on dustpan that has rubber “teeth” on the back that allow you to quickly and easily comb out dust bunnies from the broom’s bristles. The front is donned with a smooth rubber “lip” that keeps the dustpan flush with the floor so nothing slips through the cracks.
ALLELUIA!! This calls for a celebratory glass of wine don't ya think?
