I've been a huge fan of Nate Berkus for years. I wrote about him on the blog before, here. Yes, his interiors are always amazing, however, that's not the only appealing thing about him. He's undeniably handsome and despite being so successful and beautiful, he still seems like such a nice, down to earth guy. Which is why, I think, I find him so interesting. I'm always rooting for Nate, in the design world and in his personal life. That's why I was so excited to hear that he recently got engaged to his - just as beautiful - boyfriend Jeremiah Brent.
Are they not the most attractive couple you have ever seen!?!? The level of handsome is almost too much. Shall we have some more?
They do formal wear impeccably.
But, I think I prefer them in gym wear.
But, wait, it gets better. Jeremiah is a designer too. He was first introduced to the main stream on The Rachel Zoe Project, a reality show that follows stylist, Rachel Zoe. Jeremiah originally joined her team to work in fashion, but realized his true passion was in interior design. He designed Rachel's home for her while on the show.
Nate and Jeremiah recently bought their first home together in LA and, luckily for us, Harper's Bazaar did an article about it. And it doesn't disappoint.
It's so charming, yet chic at the same time. The black and white color scheme is perfect against the house's amazing architecture. The house is filled with both iconic furniture pieces that the couple already had, as well as, a lot of affordable pieces, like rugs from Berkus's collection for Target, dining chairs from Ikea, and West Elm lamps. "You don't need to spend a lot of money on stuff when you have amazing architecture," said Berkus. Ah, don't you just love him?
One would think, two design obsessed people renovating their own home together, would be a disaster waiting to happen. However, Nate disputed, saying they actually saw eye to eye on most things. Adding "I think our styles are now becoming one, which is really exciting to see". Awwwww, I guess it's just meant to be.
Later in the week, I'll show you another project the couple designed together. It's even better than this one.
But for now, I'll leave you with this....
